Reachd, Inc. ("Reachd," "we," "us," or "our") operates a digital marketplace platform at reachd.com that connects consumers ("Homeowners") seeking home services with independent contractors ("Pros") who offer those services. Reachd is a technology platform — we are not a contractor, staffing agency, or employer.
By creating an account, posting a job, submitting an application, or otherwise using Reachd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Reachd. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.
Reachd has two types of user accounts: Homeowner accounts (for consumers posting jobs) and Pro accounts (for contractors bidding on jobs). Each account type is stored separately in our database and subject to different requirements and permissions.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@reachd.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to update it as necessary. Reachd reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts based on inaccurate, fraudulent, or misleading information.
Reachd provides a platform for Homeowners and Pros to connect. We do not provide home services directly. All services are performed by independent contractors who are not employees, agents, or representatives of Reachd.
Homeowners may post job listings describing the home services they require. Job listings must be accurate and must not include false, misleading, or illegal content. Reachd reserves the right to remove any job listing at its discretion.
Approved Pros may submit bids on any open job in their service area and trade category. Pros set their own prices. Homeowners are under no obligation to accept any bid. Counter-offers may be exchanged between parties through our platform.
When a Homeowner accepts a bid and both parties confirm the agreed price, a binding Job Agreement is created on the platform. This agreement constitutes a contract between the Homeowner and the Pro — Reachd is not a party to this agreement. The agreed price is final unless both parties mutually agree to a change in writing through the platform.
Homeowners' payment methods are securely stored via Stripe. Upon execution of a Job Agreement, Reachd will place an authorization hold on the agreed amount. The card is not charged until the Homeowner confirms the job is complete. Payment is released to the Pro following Homeowner confirmation and upload of completion photo proof by the Pro.
Reachd charges Pros a sliding commission on completed jobs:
Commission is automatically deducted from the job payment before funds are transferred to the Pro.
Pro accounts are subject to a monthly subscription fee ($49/month for Pro plan, $99/month for Pro+ plan). A 7-day free trial is provided upon approval. Billing begins automatically on Day 8 following approval. Subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled.
In the event of a dispute between a Homeowner and Pro regarding job completion, Reachd will review the available evidence including completion photos, chat history, and Job Agreement terms. Reachd's decision in such disputes is final. Refunds are issued at Reachd's sole discretion.
To become an approved Pro on Reachd, contractors must:
Reachd reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove any contractor at any time for any reason, including failure to maintain required documentation, customer complaints, or violation of these Terms.
Pros using the Reachd platform are independent contractors, not employees of Reachd. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between Reachd and any Pro. Pros are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, tools, equipment, and business expenses. Reachd does not control the manner or method by which Pros perform their services.
You may not use Reachd to:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REACHD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES PERFORMED BY PROS FOUND THROUGH THE PLATFORM.
Reachd's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Reachd in the six months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reachd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
Reachd reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by email and by posting an updated version on the platform. Your continued use of Reachd after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.
